We went to Lake Constance yesterday, this lake is special because on one side, its switzerland, but the lake also touches the borders of Germany and Austria, so we crossed the border yesterday into Germany, where stuff there is so much cheaper !! oh.... and the ice cream is GOOOODDDD..... , its 7o cents euro for 1 scoop... there was a shopping mall there, the first I've seen since i've been here but did not get anything, the clothes here are too expensive and their sizes are too big for me... sigh.....

we went to appenzell today..... a small little countryside village.... nothing much to see there though... there were supposed to be people in their traditional costumes here but they were probably all living on the hillside so we did not get to see them, neither did we get to see the cows with a 23kg ell hanging from around their neck... apparently there is this procession which they make up the alps where the cows have to carry a cowbell, and if the slope is too steep, the person has to carry 2 of these cowbells..... whoa..... heavy xia....

school is starting tmr..... xian.... its a long flight of steps to the school 230, to be exact, man.... i'm going to lose weight here...... hahaa..... not looking forward to school, hopefully we can find a less exhausting route... the other alternative is taking the bus, but we would have to change bus... but its free anyway.... so yah.... but getting some excercise once in a while is good too !! the prof for one of our courses is actually from Singapore but who has stayed here for a pretty long time.....

Had some problems when we were washing clothes today... kinda funy when you think back on it..... first, we did not know how to operate the washing machine, no matter how many times I pressed start, it just would not.... and once I closed the washing machine, I realized that it couldn't open.... haha so I had to go and ask someone for help... felt a bit weird... haha... lucky the person spoke english.... haha.... We realized that we actually needed a card to operate the machine....hahah... feel a bit dumb... and apparently we were not supposed to wash clothes on a sunday.... opps.... so guess we'll have to wash our clothes on a weekday after school... which ends at 6 almost EVERYDAY.... ahhaha ... sigh.... looks like i'm really here to study... there's very little time to travel.... i wanna come back to back pack in Europe !!!!! anybody wants to come !!!..... there's a lot of places which i wanna see.... Salzburg - Austria, Paris... France.... Venice - Italy and Greece... hahahah must find time to come back to Europe.... which is probably when i'm an old lady and have lost all of my teeth... hahaha... will update you guys soon !! hehe...
